A new piece for beginner strings, 3rd Beat Forfeit!, has been added to the website today. This piece is the third piece from the First Suite For Beginner Strings and, like the other two pieces, is arranged for 2 violin parts, viola and 2 cello parts. Violin 2, viola and cello 2 parts only use open strings while violin 1 and cello 1 use all the fingers in 1st position.

A new price list page has been added to the website today to make our pricing bands and options as clear as possible. The string orchestra pieces that come from the string suites can now be bought as complete suites for a discounted price and there are reduced prices for arrangements purchased of both string and orchestral works in their current arrangements.

A new piece for string orchestra, Vivo Positivo, has been added to the website today and can be heard on the String Catalogue audio player. It is currently scored for 3 violin parts, viola, 2 cello parts and double bass and is suitable for players of approximately grade 3 - 5 standard.Of course this can be further fine-tuned to suite your string group.
Also added today are two new pieces for beginner string groups. “ Just for starters “ and “ Let’s Begin “ are arranged for 2 violin parts, viola and 2 cello parts. Violin 2, viola and cello 2 parts only use open strings while violin 1 and cello 1 use all the fingers in 1st position.

SMALL PRICE INCREASE

Having kept our prices unaltered since we started, we are going to make a small increase from 31st July 2017 of £2.50 on the price of all arrangements. Any orders received before this date will of course be charged at the old price so plan your music for the Christmas Term soon and get your orders in by the end of July!

A new piece for string orchestra, Cloudy Day, has been added to the website today and can be heard on the String Catalogue audio player.
The piece is currently scored for eight parts, ranging in difficulty from pre- grade one to about grade 3, but of course this can be further fine- tuned to suite your string group.

The remaining two pieces from The Working Day Suite, composed by Nick Drewe this month, have now been added to the string catalogue. These pieces can be performed individually or the whole suite can be performed as a more major item.

A new catalogue page has been added to the website today for string arrangements. The first three pieces are all new to the website and all come from The Working Day Suite, composed this month by Nick Drewe, so these pieces really are hot off the manuscript!

PRICE FREEZE UNTIL EASTER!

Due to the high percentage of customers who, having bought and tried our arrangements, are already now coming back for more, we are going to freeze our prices until Easter! Feedback has been extremely encouraging and we hope that by keeping our prices so competitive, more ensembles and orchestras will be able to try our pieces and benefit from our bespoke arranging service.

Nick Drewe has been commissioned by the North Downs Community Orchestra, www.thefunorchestra.co.uk , to compose a piece specially for their 1st anniversary! The new piece titled “ Something’s Stirring On Godstone Green “ will be given it’s live World Premiere by the Community Orchestra in their March 19th birthday concert. You can see an extract of the piece on our advanced catalogue page and hear the piece by clicking on the title in the audio player.

A new catalogue page has been added to the website today for pieces with a more advanced degree of difficulty. The first piece to appear on this page is the Overture from Sour Grapes, a musical comedy written by Stephen Telfer and Nick Drewe. The Overture, lasting about four and a half minutes, contains a number of the song melodies from the show and can be heard by clicking on the title in the audio player.

“ What If? “ is a very melodic, musical theatre style piece that lends itself to more advanced players and arrangements. It is currently scored for full strings, 2 flutes, oboe, 2 clarinets, alto sax, bassoon, Horn, 2 trumpets, trombone and glockenspiel. This can of course be rearranged to suit your orchestra so why not have a listen to the audio file on our main catalogue page?
